While Connor has already proven himself athletically on the varsity football field — at this writing he leads all of 4A-1 in solo tackles — he is also focused on keeping his grades up in order to reach his collegiate goals. As a senior, Connor is carrying a 3.04 GPA, including multiple AP/Dual-Credit courses. He scored a 1010 on his SAT, and, not being satisfied that is reflects his academic capabilities, is scheduled to take it again in December. Coach Quotes
Connor is by far the hardest working athlete I have ever coached. His determination to be the best player he can is second to none. His competitiveness to win every rep, every play, every battle separates him from everyone else. He is smart, tough, fearless and a natural-born leader. Having him on the field is like having another coach on the field. He prepares himself weekly to know what the opponent’s tendencies are, leading him to not have to think as much and solely rely on instincts and reaction. He is the epitome of what I visualize when I think of what a football player should be.
- Desmond Bowie, Athens High School Varsity Linebacker Coach

“Connor was voted captain of our team this year and has been one of the leaders week in and week out, in the locker room and on the field. He has led our team in tackles every game and has the ability to make tackles sideline to sideline. He has poured a lot into this program over the last six years and will be missed. I have no doubt that he has the ability to play at the next level and will definitely make some university's program better in all aspects.”
- Zac Harrell, Athens ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach

Connor is by far the toughest kid I’ve ever had the privilege of coaching. He takes pride in being the best in whatever he does. If I had to describe Connor in one word, it would be RESILIENT. No matter how hard the challenge may be, you can count on Connor to be the first one to take it head on. His leadership skills are second-to-none. He holds everyone accountable, but best believe he’s living up to the same standard he’s holding everyone else to.”
- Devon Bowie, Athens High School Varsity Defensive Line Coach
