As an 8th grader as the starting Combo Guard for the 3rd year in a row (also saw substantial time at Wing) on her middle school team, AC helped lead them to the 1st Round of Regionals in the Playoffs, and was selected to play in the All-Star Game at the end of the year known as the "Battle of the Best." In 7th grade, she was named to the All-District Tournament Team. Coach's Quotes
"AC Milam is the kind of player that would be a great addition to any program. She is an extremely hard worker & is very coachable. She is constantly striving to improve all areas of her game - often times working on her own, outside of mandatory practice times. If AC feels that she is struggling in a specific area, she is quick to approach a coach or team leader to get some guidance, help, or further instruction. AC is a great shooter & I have full confidence she will only get better due to the amount of time that she spends improving. She has a great build for basketball & her ability to handle the ball, shoot, & her leadership qualities all lend to her being able to play multiple positions in quality minutes. She is a a fast learner & a tough defender who is constantly striving to improve her defensive positioning. I have really high hopes for this up-and-comer!

- Erin Webb (DCHS Head Coach)

"Anna Claire was a welcomed addition to the Lady Cougars Soccer Team. She played for the JV and Varsity squad this year. Anna Claire has a natural ability to lead and is a type of player that I can trust to always do the right thing. As a freshman, she already understands how a forward needs to play the game and can also pass and defend at a Varsity level. Anna Claire scored 6 goals and had 3 assists this year for the Varsity squad. She was a valuable substitute for the Lady Cougars and was also able to start for the Lady Cougars during an important District game against Hillsboro High School. She was voted the MaxPreps Player of the Game for that game by getting 1 goal and 1 assist. She helped the Lady Cougars win the 2019 District 11-AAA Championship and finish with a record of 16-3. I am excited about what the future holds for not only Anna Claire but also for the Lady Cougar Soccer program as she continues to work hard and improve."

- Chris Cardona

"AC is a player that any coach would love to have on their team, and also that any coach would love to have the opportunity to coach. She is a great shooter from 3 and that is what most people will see first. The great thing though is seeing the development she has made over the last few years and she now scores from all 3 levels and has developed a good back to the basket game when she has a mismatch. On top of the offensive improvement AC made a big impact on our team defensively this spring and summer. She often guarded the other teams best player and took some charges throughout the travel season as well. Statistically she made the most 3’s on our team and was our leading scorer. She was in the top 3 in assists and steals as well. Along with being a great player AC is a tremendous teammate, every girl in our program likes playing with her. She’s coachable, listens, and asks for ways to continue to improve. She’s a special young lady and will be a great asset to a college program from the class of 2023."

- Tony McLeod (AAU Coach)

"Anna Claire Milam has an excellent work ethic. She works extremely hard on and off the court. She loves the game and invests a lot of her time and effort into it trying to get better. She is an outstanding shooter who can shoot the three and attack the rim. She also has the potential to be the best defender on our team because she moves well laterally. She has a good basketball IQ. AC would be a great asset to any program."

- Coach Kelly Stevenson (DCHS Assistant Coach)
