This young lady is a multi-event standout (400m, 800m, 4x400, 1 Mile, 5K) at always strong Alamo Heights H.S., competing in highly regarded 5A play in the San Antonio area. As a junior this past season on the Track & Field team, Amara was named Regional Champ, Area Champ, and District Champ in the 400m. Also a standout in Cross Country, Amara earned 2<sup>nd</sup> Team All-District Honors as well. On the club track circuit, she runs with both Celerity Performance and Flo Jo San Antonio, two of the top teams in all of South-Central Texas. In store for a massive senior campaign next season, to say Amara is a young lady to keep a close eye on would be a tremendous understatement!

While Amara has already proven herself athletically so far in her career to-date, she is also focused on keeping her grades up to reach her collegiate goals. As a junior, Amara is carrying a solid 3.21 GPA, including multiple AP/Dual-Credit Courses, and will be taking her official SAT/ACT exams in the near future.
