Athletic Accomplishments

This young man plays soccer at always strong Brandeis H.S., competing in highly regarded District 28-6A play in the Greater San Antonio Area. As a sophomore last season, Boston was dominant on the pitch en-route to his Honorable Mention All-District and BHS Defensive Player of the Year Honors. On the club circuit, he runs with the loaded SA City ECNL squad and is a Team Captain and a full-time starter. Ahead of his years athletically, to say Boston is a Center-Back/Midfielder/FWD to keep a close eye on as an upperclassman would be a tremendous understatement!

Coach Quotes
"To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Brian Maher and I am the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Brandeis High School in San Antonio, Texas. I have been a head coach for 21 years and it is my pleasure to write a recommendation for Boston Babiarz. I have known Boston for the past seven years, and three of the years as a starter on the varsity soccer team. Boston has always committed himself on and off the field to be the best he can be. I can’t wait to see what his future holds for him.

Boston was and still is one of the best in his soccer class. As a defender, his instincts and reaction time is at the highest level, but it is his quality as a teammate that makes him special. Boston was a starter on the JV team, but knew he could easily be on varsity, but allowed me to let him play more on JV. He never complained about what I was planning for him, and of course came everyday and worked as hard as he could like a true professional player would act, not a high school player would act. I am grateful to have a person of his character on this team. I expected him to be all district and hopefully he will also be all city this year.

Boston is not defined just as a soccer player; he also one of the hardest working students on the team. Boston has a 3.6 GPA. Boston’s hard work has not gone unnoticed by his teammates on the soccer team. We are very proud of his following accomplishments: Member of the Broncos Building Bridges Leadership Team, 2nd Team All District Defender in 2022, and All Academic Soccer Team his 9th and 10th grade seasons.

Boston has still found time to work outside of school by having a part time job at 6 Klicks Café as a server. Between soccer and his job, Boston found time to volunteer at a church sponsored mission trip in Uvalde to paint houses, also the Habitat for Humanity, the San Antonio Food Bank, and the Brandeis Athletic Booster Fundraiser. Boston has a lot of friends that have inspired him and for sure he has made a mark on them. I will miss Boston very much, but know he will attack anything that he wants to achieve.

Thank you for your consideration,

Brian S. Maher
