Upcoming Schedule & Recent News

While Chase has already proven himself athletically on the baseball field to date, he is also focused on keeping his grades up to reach his collegiate goals. As a senior, Chase is carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA, including all Honors Courses, and scored 30 on his ACT. Chase is one of the most analytical players behind the plate we’ve seen in some time. His baseball IQ is expert-level which is why his high school and summer scout coaches let him call the games for the past 4 years. He knows what batters swing at, how to sequence them, and where they placed balls during previous at-bats. He helps his pitchers keep their ERAs down, manages the infield, and adjusts the outfield as necessary. His coaches have trusted him, both in high school and summer ball, for the past three years. To top it all off, he is also able to make his presence felt at 2B/3B if the need arises.

Chase also led a team of fellow high school students in the 2022 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Students of the Year campaign. When asked, he didn’t hesitate to step up in honor of his younger sister, naming his team “Fin’s Superheroes”. Fin is Chase's little sister and what fuels his love and passion in the fight against all blood cancers.

His team beat their goal of raising $50,000 by securing over $74,000 in donations during the 7-week campaign window. They set the new KC Area record for this campaign and Chase personally raised 46% of the total donations by pitching to large corporations in the KC metro area. When asked why he took this on while in sports, taking honors classes, and working part-time, he said: “in my lifetime I never want another family to hear the awful words ‘your child has cancer”.
