This 2020 grad plays football at Taft H.S., competing in highly regarded District 28-6A play in the San Antonio area. As a senior this past year, Marcus saw time at both Defensive End and at LB. As a junior, Marcus saw substantial time on the varsity unit at LB. As a sophomore, Marcus was the starting Running Back on the JV unit, and was also a standout on the Kickoff, Kickoff Return & Punt units on Special Teams. As a freshman on the "A" Team, Marcus was a starting Defensive End. Also able to play Slot WR (as he did with his SA Horns team) when needed, Marcus is a true "jack of all trades" that can make his presence felt in all 3 phases of the game. He is WITHOUT A DOUBT a young man to keep a close eye on!

Standing 5'11"-200lbs as a senior, Marcus combines his aggressive style of play with his ability to play multiple positions and his high football IQ to have a BRIGHT future still ahead of himself. As the starting RB on the JV unit as a sophomore, he rushed for roughly 400 yards, scored 2 TD's, and caught 10 passes out of the backfield. Marcus is going to make whichever college coach he winds up playing for down the line VERY happy.

While Marcus has already proven himself on the football fields at THS so far in his high school career to-date, he also understands the importance of keeping his grades up to reach his collegiate goals. As a senior, Marcus is carrying a solid 3.3 GPA, is a member of NJHS, has a part-time job, has volunteered at the SA Food Bank, is a member of "Raiders in the Community," and is a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo.
