This 2020 grad plays football at O'Connor H.S., competing in District 28-6A play in the San Antonio area. As a senior, Jack earned 1st Team All-District Honors for his play at Safety. As a junior, Jack was once again the starting Strong Safety on the varsity unit, was named Team Captain twice, and earned 1st Team All-District honors for his standout play. As only a sophomore en-route to OCHS's undefeated 10W-0L regular season and deep run in our 6A State Playoffs, Jack was a full-time contributor at Strong Safety on the loaded varsity unit (started 1 game against District rival Brennan H.S.), and also saw substantial time on the Punt, Punt Return, Kickoff & Kickoff Return units on Special Teams. As a freshman, he was the starting Strong Safety/Slot Receiver on the Freshman "A" Team, and helped the OCHS 7-on-7 squad to a 2nd place finish at State! Standing 5'9"-170lbs as a senior, Jack combines his ballhawk mentality with his high football IQ to have a BRIGHT future still ahead of himself at OCHS. As a junior en-route to his 1st Team All-District honors, Jack was credited with 40 solo tackles, 28 assists, 1 sack, and averaged 6.2 tackles per game. In his 1st game as a this season against powerhouse Steele H.S., Jack was dominant, recording 14 tackles (10 solo), 1 sack, and was named Defensive Co-MVP for his standout performance! As a sophomore on the varsity unit, he was credited with 8 solo tackles, 10 assists, 1 INT, 2 PBU's, 2 TFL's and recovered 1 fumble from his strong safety position. As tall as Jack has stood on the football fields at well-respected OCHS so far in his high school career to-date, he also understands the importance of keeping his grades up to reach his lofty collegiate goals. As a senior, Jack is carrying an outstanding 99.4% GPA, including multiple Pre-AP Courses (all except English), ranks in the top 5% of his class, is a member of Gifted & Talented (GT), FCA, the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ Youth Group, the Latin Club, is an NHS member to-be, earned Academic All-State & Academic All-District honors, holds a very strong 1350 on his SAT and a whopping 29 on his ACT!
