This 2020 grad plays football at Smithson Valley H.S., competing in District 26-6A play in the San Antonio area. As a senior this season, he is a starting REC/RB. As a junior last season as a starter on the loaded varsity unit, Greg was utilized primarily at LB, but also saw snaps at DB when needed. As a sophomore, Greg was a full-time varsity player, and saw snaps primarily at CB, RB and as the lead kick return man. At the end of his freshman campaign, Greg was brought up to the varsity squad. Standing 5'11"-150lbs as a senior, Greg combines his 4.52/40yd speed with his aggressive style of play to turn heads on any field he steps foot on. At the end of his freshman season, Greg was credited with 740 rushing yards, 190 receiving yards, 13 TD's, averaged 24 yards per kick return and had 2 INT's. As an 8th grader, Greg rushed for 840 yards and 13 TD's. After dominating on the JV Track and Field team in the early goings of his freshman season, Greg was moved up to the varsity unit by his coaches, making him the only freshman competing on the varsity team. He is running the 3rd leg of both the 4x100 and 4x200 and is also triple jumping. As a junior this year, Greg helped SVHS win their first District Championship in 25 years, with him qualifying for Regionals in the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, long jump, being named a Regional Finalist in the 4x2, 4x4 & Long Jump, and placed 3rd at Regionals anchoring the 4x4 with a 47.8 split time. He also set school records anchoring the 4x100 (42.4 seconds), 4x200 & 4x400 (47 seconds), and all 3 relay teams qualified for the Texas Relays!Track PR's (to-date)
