Athletic Accomplishments

This 2018 grad has been a varsity pole vaulter at Brandeis H.S. since his freshman year, competing in District 28-6A play in San Antonio. As a sophomore, Logan finished in the top 3 at every meet and helped his 6A Brandeis track program qualify for Regionals after winning District and Area. Also a standout varsity vaulter as a freshman, Logan continues to make tremendous strides each year. In July 2016, Logan attended the Lonestar Baron Vault track meet, where he took home the gold. As a junior, Logan also competed in the 110mH/300mH and Long Jump when not pole vaulting. He placed 6th overall in District in the 300mH and placed 2nd at Area as a vaulter! He also placed 3rd at Regionals. To top it all off, Logan took 1st place at the USATF South Texas Association Junior Olympic Championships in June 2017, and qualified for the 2017 USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championship in Lawrence, Kansas.He recently set a new personal PR & Regional Record of 16' 9" at State (2nd Place finish), and participated in the 2018 National Pole Vault Summit in Reno, NV in January 2018! He also qualified for Area in the 300mH as a senior.

Logan was also named the San Antonio Express-News Track & Field Athlete of the Week on 2/19/18 for his 15'9" performance at the NISD Meet, which was the highest in-season vault in the State of Texas at that time! Click HERE to read that article.

As tall as Logan has stood on the track at BHS so far in his high school career to-date, he also understands the importance of his performance in the classroom. As a senior, Logan is carrying a solid 3.3 GPA. He has been on three Mission Trips, is heavily involved in his Church Youth Group and is working on acquiring his Eagle Scout rank.
