This 2021 grad is a Middle Distance/Long Distance standout at Smithson Valley H.S., competing in highly regarded District 26-6A play in the Greater San Antonio Area. This season as a Junior, Amalie qualified for State for the second year in a row, crushing multiple PR's along the way. As a Sophomore in her first ever attempt at running Cross Country, Amalie was named to the All-Region Team, was a State Qualifier, ran the 4x400 Anchor Leg at State 2019, and fnished 4th at the Meet of Champions here in San Antonio in the 800m after placing 4th at Regionals. As a Freshman in her first year ever running Track, Amalie promptly made the varsity team, was named to the All-Region Team, and was a Regional Qualifier in the 400m Open and the 4x400 Relays. As a Sophomore, she placed 3rd at District in the 800m with a 2:22.34 on just her second time running the event, and that time was good enough to qualify her for Area! As a junior, Amalie is carrying a superb 104.31% (4.0) weighted GPA, ranks 26th in her massive class of 714 students (Top 3%), holds a legit 1200 on her first SAT take, and scored 28 on her ACT.
