As a junior last year, Jacob earned 1st Team All-District Honors, Academic All-District, and was named to the Texas Top 100 list for the Class of 2022. He is also currently ranked #164 for the class of 2022 by Rivals.com. Prep Hoop Texas' Class of 2022 "Top 200" has Jacob ranked #126 in the state, and 9th in the Top 30 Austin rankings. As a sophomore as a full-time starter on the varsity unit that was named District Champs/Bi-District Champs, Jacob was the only sophomore (and one of only four non-seniors) on the varsity team, and earned 2nd Team All-District Honors. He was also named to the FLX ATX '20 All Super Sophomore Team.

As a freshman on the "A" Team, Jacob was their starting FWD, and was a huge reason for their overall success and District Championship. The starting PG/SG for his ultra competitive AAU squad, Jacob is no stranger to elite competition on the AAU circuit, and routinely plays against the best talent both locally here in Texas and across the country (such as the FAB 48 in Las Vegas and the GASO's here in Texas). Jacob is WITHOUT A DOUBT a young man to keep a close eye on in both high school and AAU play!

Coach Quotes
"Jacob played a lot of roles for us this year – I nicknamed him Batman because he has so many tools in his utility belt. He can literally play all 5 positions on the floor and is an excellent ball handler, passer, rebounder and play maker. He does not have gaudy stats because he wasn’t always the guy that was scoring – but if he wasn’t making “the assist” he was making the “hockey assist” with smart plays. He will have a monster Junior and Senior year! He finished the year with 13 points/7rebounds/4 assists in our last game vs. Lake Creek and often times looked like the best player on the floor for either team."
- Coach Brown, CPHS Head Varsity Coach

"...an unorthodox, attacking combo guard who can really finish above defenders with his athleticism."
- Coach Payton Brown-Simon - Hoop Generation
